Very odd

I found this really odd looking pupa  in my hardy geraniums today, I have no idea what it is, but am guessing it is some sort of Hover fly.
IF you get time please drop in my blip from 26th which I have just uploaded.
UPDATE : I have had it identified and it is most likely the pupa of a Beautiful plume Moth.
