Fight!

Some of the species which use the feeders can be quite cantankerous with one another.  Greenfinches are probably the worst with Goldfinches a close second.  Another very wet day so no wandering round looking for blips.  I intended to take the usual shots of the birds feeding or siting still.  Then the bickering started.

Coincidentally there was a spot on TV reminding us about the need to clean feeders weekly with hot water.  Large gatherings of different species in the same place, such as at feeders, makes the spreading of disease very easy.

This spread of infection is partly to blame for the startling crash in numbers which Greenfinches have suffered in recent years.
