Meanwhile in New Zealand ...

Esme Rae is three today!  Already fully celebrated in New Zealand, Joe did her proud. A raspberry cake was requested (would you look at it!) and then they had a big day out - over the Hill to Nelson where Guinea Pig world was visited, followed by Natureland, followed by a playground topped with supper in the vegan restaurant. She slept all the way home, had a few stories from her new Quentin Blake compendium and was out like a light. Yes that is a bump on her head from quite a few days ago when she collided with the table and it came out like a beacon! All fine though. We caught up with her early in the morning and presents were being opened - the singing of happy birthday was a little bit too much though!
