A Chilly Dip

I was lucky to choose this morning to get myself down to Portobello in time for the high tide The sun shone, the sea was calm and I was able to splash about on my own.
I have to find my earplugs and goggles before I can do anything other than a back crawl, looking up at the white clouds in the blue sky.
It always amazes me that I can do a back crawl and not achieve any distance at all- something obviously wrong with my technique.

Returning home by bus was a somewhat chilly journey of 45 minutes but a lovely hot shower at the end was blissful.

And then the blue sky disappeared and the showers began. An altogether different day.
