forgotten

I forgot to renew a prescription for my anti-arrhythmia medication.  It ought to be easy - I do it online.  Somehow it slipped my mind. Now I have to wait.

The other thing that I had forgotten was what AF feels like.  One minute my heart rate is normal - the next it’s like I’m sitting on a washing machine as shudders across an uneven floor.  Shaken - and stirred.

I have a handy wee device which can detect AF and send a trace to my phone.  So I take a reading.  I’m astonished by what I see.  It’s been 6 years since I’ve seen this wiggly line.  It took just 3 days of no medication for the AF to return.  And when it did, it was suddenly without warning.

I guess that’s part of my problem - no symptoms for such along time leading to complacency.  So today’s blip is a reminder to myself - and others.  Do not forget.
