drove up from Ephesus to Bergama today and visited the ruins of Ancient Pergamum. In the book of Revelation the Lord Jesus describes the town as being "where Satan has his throne". These columns are all that is left of the temple that was dedicated to Trajan. Trajan and his temple are long-gone. The Risen Lord Jesus however, and his sharp, double-edged sword (the Bible), are still very much with us today in 2013!
