Black Immigrants' Lives Matter

Monsoon-force rain (for which we are grateful) didn't stop an intrepid group of protesters appalled by the treatment of Haitian immigrants at the US border

Most of the protesters were elders, still using the same tactics they've been using since the late sixties: signs, chanting, a little half-hearted singing, fists in the air. I suppose they keep doing it because they don't know what else to do. They like seeing each other. They can't sit home and do nothing. They know this won't change what's happening. Many think we no longer have anything resembling democracy. The oligarchs who own our politicians don't care about these little protests. And yet, rain or shine, they go on protesting, and rain or shine, I like documenting their efforts.
