Lovely sun and rain day , busy pootling around , post natal check, dog walking, batch soup making, it lashed sideways rain at the stables . the eve turned into a beautiful sunny one in time for me to travel down to Limerick for a much anticipated film ( birth documentary ) and meal after with my colleagues, haven’t done anything as racy as this since Covid ! Got as far as Nenagh and the jeep engine cut out. Sh*t. I coasted onto the hard shoulder of the M7 with no real steering and managed to stop safely. This was view from behind the crash barrier , the cows were only mildly interested in the close proximity of a human . I was rescued by the hero of the hour, Eddy our local mechanic in his tow truck ( so old it doesn’t have seat belts )!! Poss another injection rod ( been here before). Anyway home safe and sound after a mighty fine chat about what it was like growing up in a pub in rural Ireland - one of 9 children. Him not me !
