Sally Mair - Loving life

Tired Mummy

After a good night's sleep and a lazy morning I went across to Ali's and brought her and baby back to our house. We had intended going out somewhere nice for coffee but the weather wasn't great so we just came here. Personally I'm impressed that five days after giving birth, she even contemplated crossing the threshold let alone wanting to go somewhere nice for coffee.
I had to pop out at one point and when I got back I found her asleep on the couch with baby in her moses basket beside her. It's hard work being a new mum even with a baby who is following the rule book. She's sleeping in three hour blocks, feeding and being changed and repeat!
I'm glad she's is able to feel so relaxed when she's here. Her baby really is beautiful and being so tiny is very easy to hold. She has good head control too which helps.
I managed to get most of my Cursillo annual report done tonight. It just needs polished in time for Saturday now. I'll be glad to have it completed and out of the way. I've been a bit distracted recently.
Monday evening and so BBC2 quiz night, I enjoyed both Only Connect and University Challenge. Nice to see Dundee University as one of the teams.
Stay safe everyone. I don't know what the answer to the shortages is, other than winding the clock back. Fortunately there seems to be no problem with fuel on this side of town.
