Homeward bound

After overnight rain we drove home from Wiltshire across Salisbury Plain in cooler sunshine. En route we were called by our solicitor to confirm that our house purchase had been completed.

We collected the keys after lunch and walked round to our new home. There was a slight hiatus when we could not open the front door! The agent came to our rescue and all was well. We were very pleased to be homeowners again and now we can begin our move in preparations in earnest before all our furniture comes south next month, fuel supplies permitting!

If you look closely at my Blip you may see some pheasants. The roads around this part of Wiltshire have enormous numbers of these birds. They try to out run the cars before remembering that they actually can fly!

On our drive home and on my early evening trip into Gloucester there was no sign of any queues for fuel and all petrol stations were open.
