Diary of an Edinburgher

Jersey Day Two

A lovely sunny morning when we looked out and saw people going by in teeshirts and short sleeves. But when we got outside, there was actaully quite a chilly breeze. Hardy folk down here. Anne & Bob invited us out for brunch ‘A mere stroll along the waterfront’, which turned into a bit of a hike, especially in the wind, but hey - it got my step count well up for the day, and what a reward - pancakes!

Back to home for a coffee and sit down, then off for an afternoon stroll on St Ouen’s Bay. Plenty of wind surfers out enjoying the windy conditions. We walked along to the wee White House (La Cauminne à Marie Best) as it’s a must when visiting Jersey.

Back to the house and tasty nibbles were rustled up by Anne. A few glasses of crémant were enjoyed as we celebrated being together after three years.

We made use of the bus service to take us back into town, where, as there was nobody around, to my surprise, JR obliged by joining the statue of the good Jersey folk celebrating the liberation. (11,788 steps!!)

PS Lots of videos from Derek. Archie taking his pills. Good boy.
