Paddled through the woods….

for most of the morning, as it was wet and 10° colder than yesterday. We are lucky to have this facility on our doorstep. The woods are a 362 hectare Pine woodland, owned by the community and for community use. There is a wealth of wildlife, including Capercaillie, Crossbills, Crested Tits, Red Squirrels, Pine Martins, Roe Deer, Badger, and eleven varieties of Dragonfly. Flora is rich too including Twinflower and Intermediate Wintergreen.
