500mm Pigeon!

Second shot with the new lens. Still cant fault it.
Hanging out of my bedroom window waiting for some pretty feathered friends....and waiting....and waiting...Oh well the pigeon will have to do!

I had to get Diesel to the vets this afternoon and the birdies were not playing ball!!!
We do not have much greenery in our garden as Diesel decided he didnt want any when he was a pup and promptly ripped it all out. We have never bothered to plant anything so trying to get the birds back has been a struggle.

However we have seen some nice birds but when your itching to try out a new lens they are probably sitting up in the trees pointing their feathers at me and giggling saying..

"Hey Fred...do you think we should show our selves or sit here till shes gone?"

Nah ..mate we will wait till shes gone tweet tweet"

So the only feathered thing I could capture was this pigeon...he was only worried about filling his or her belly!
It was hand held hanging out the window @ 500mm (Peter) and cropped by half again.
Still sharp!
