This wee yin…

…was still no better this morning and had started to carry a back leg…so the vet was called and we took her down so they could have a look at her.

Had to send her in with the nurse because of the COVID protocols they have in place and then the vet called us in the car to discuss the examination.

To ensure there was no fracture of the leg we opted to have her X-rayed, so that meant a sedation…so that meant we had to leave her :-(

Vet called shortly after and leg did not look fractured but X-ray did pick up some stones in her tummy…she has been a devil for stones…we’d started to take her out in the garden on her lead to address the issue…and we thought we were getting her to drop the majority of them…but obviously not!

So vet wanted to keep her in to monitor their transit.

Phone call from vet at tea time more positive…she is bright enough in herself and Brèagh thinks she should be out the cage…she also scoffed her dinner…lameness in leg improved…antibiotics given as her temp was a bit raised…and medicine given to hopefully aid transit of stones.

Grateful for the care she has received today…praying we have our wee girl back home with us all soon.

Not been able to settle down to doing much today. Walked Seòras at the University and laid some Gerbera flowers, my wee sisters favourite, five years today since we lost her. Miss her everyday…sometimes your heartbreaks just to hear the sound of her voice again or her laugh or her teasing humour. Grateful for the memories…wish we’d had the time to make more.

It’s been an emotional day.
