A companion piece to Wednesday's post!

The Minx came up to Kirkby Lonsdale yesterday afternoon: I popped into the office for a meeting in the afternoon before collecting her from the station. We'd toyed with the idea of getting out for a drink but ended up staying in for the evening.

This morning we were due to head off earlyish so that I could get to college for midday but today's lesson was cancelled, which turned out to be just as well. The Minx was planning to collect a sideboard and a sofa, this afternoon - both purchases from Facebook Marketplace or whatever it's called - and whilst I think she’d have managed the sideboard, it was a good job we were both there for the sofa collection.

Later in the afternoon, she went over to Ikea to pick a stool to go with the new sofa, while I stayed at home working on my notes for tomorrow's radio show. When she came back, we walked down to the office both to install a plant she'd bought from Ikea but also to reassemble a sofa that we'd brought down from Kirkby Lonsdale and dropped off there earlier on.

After that, we walked back to Lo Scoglio and had dinner there, which felt like the perfect end to a productive day.
