Geocache maintenance trip

This "quick" visit turned out to take longer than anticipated and was somewhat interesting.
I went to check on one of my puzzle caches as a recent solver had been unable to find it. I walked down there, to The Clegg (local pond), as I needed a walk. Cache had gone and part of the tree it was nestled in. It seems people are taking branches off trees to use for fires - and sometimes it seems they just use the whole tree. Grrrr.
I picked the worst possible day and time to do this because there were 2 rugby matches and training taking place with lots of spectators around. The wooded area is adjacent to one of the rugby pitches so many people were nearby. Children kept coming into the woodland to play and as I was hanging around waiting for the coast to come clear, one of them asked me if I was lost!
Next, an elderly gent walked into the area and stood urinating against a tree just a few feet from both the children and me! He seemed oblivious to us being there.
One of the kids found the remains of a hippy crack session and picked up a used balloon so I had to warn him that it was best not to pick these up as they could be dirty.
Eventually managed to place my cache!
I found a new hiding place, popped a new cache in, recorded the coordinates and left.
