A walk to the swan pond

Today I have been mowing the lawn and doing some washing, so basically a day of chores mixed in with some lazy moments ;-)

This evening I took the dogs on the swan pond walk. We haven’t been that way for ages. I picked up a few conkers on the way for house decoration and also scaring spiders, an old wives tale but something I have done for a few years now. It is an ‘on the lead’ walk for the dogs as it is an area with lots of sheep. I have no idea if swans are still on the pond as it is quite overgrown and surrounded by bull rushes. There is an old barn on this route which has some owl boxes in it. Not sure if they are occupied or not.
