All grown up

Sunday morning walk round the Loch, quite breezy but very mild.
The only surviving cygnet from this year’s hatchlings is almost fully grown and very independent looking with it’s parents far away at the other end of the Loch. I expect it is going to be flying off soon to join a flock of other swans. According to the RSPB, young swans usually leave their parents’ territory during their first autumn around 120 to 150 days after hatching.
