Thunderstruck

Today was a scorcher! 90*F! As a result, it is 83*F in our apartment - ick!

Thankfully a huge storm rolled though and cooled it a bit (I say that with hesitation as the temperature has been steadily climbing since the sun came back out). The storm produced loud cracks that set off car alarms and hail as large as an inch. My husband and I had a great time searching the yard for the biggest specimens as soon as the threat of lightning strike dissipated. Where I used to live it rarely ever hailed in 20 years - now, just 3 hours south, it hails with every decent thunderstorm. I am now a hail veteran.
