Blokes versus birds

Ok, for the most part I concentrated on the charity football match I was asked to photograph this icy Sunday afternoon. Standing in the biting wind wishing I'd worn 2 sets of thermals instead of just one, with fingers frozen by the camera body even through gloves. I only took a few photos of these smart Black Headed Gulls, but they really were very pretty.

My first foray into sports photography (apart from motor racing) went down well, even if I still have no idea what was going on, and 'my' team lost 11-1 (although they did appreciate the action shots).
