Road to Their House

The woods are very thick and deep on either side of this remote dirt road.   I feel like I'm far, far away from everyday life when I'm there.  I love to walk this road that eventually goes down to the lake.  In winter the road is nearly impassable due to incredible amounts of snow, so everything gets battened down in October/November. A couple of their neighbors stay all year round and need very heavy truck tires and plows to navigate the roads.  Neighbors call to check on one another.  The nearest hospital is quite a distance away.
