A pink Dahlia in the rain.

The Feast Day  of St. Finbar

The  washer drier broke yesterday after working perfectly for about ten years.
Paul arranged for the machine to be hopefully repaired on Monday. If it is beyond repair then we need to buy a new one.
It is often the case that when something like an appliance breaks, you then get a great appreciation of how much you were dependent on it.
The weather has been dull all day and rainy.
Arthur has been contented at home here.
I was glad and grafeful to have taken a few photos of the pink dahlias outside the closed Church. They lift the spirit even though the flowers are needing support to stay upright in the winds.
I am not good at doing September and October time. It is poor light and Nature is closing down slowly, and starting to rest, for this time of year in Britain.
Crocheting provides some solace and finding a good story to distract me from the bleakness.
The temperature is 21c outdoors and 20c without heating on indoors.
