September Song

There are suddenly a couple of monarchs floating around the yard, and several up the hill on my walk. The roadside is full of wild  NY asters, goldenrod and chicory. They seem to like the purple flowers. I did buy another butterfly bush but it's a small one, theoretically 2-3 feet across. But it's another purple, albeit a light purple. So far the moths seem to like it and I don't even  have it planted yet. 
I love this time of year , but I wish it would slow down.:) Don't rush to winter.
