Stowe In the morning sunshine

A busy day as we had a very small team at Stowe today. Lovely warm September weather despite the signs of autumn are everywhere .

Stowe is going through a change as they try to reduce the fertility of the grassland to encourage the spread of wild flowers. This means not using any fertiliser and cutting and removing grass. The process is working as more orchids appeared this year.
