Tuck Shop

The UK has a good number of long distance trails and many cross or go through remote farms.  Some enterprising farms have set up Tuck Shops where passing walkers can buy fizzy drinks, chocolates etc.  I have even come across one that will sell you a fresh made sandwich! They are very welcome for the long distance walker in need of sustenance. 

We came across this charming little Tuck Shop at Wythes Hall on the Pennine Way in County Durham whilst out for a walk this afternoon.  It relies on the honesty of the walker to place the cash in a jar.  I wonder whether they cover their costs!
