Cheeky Calves

I was just on my way out with Arlo for his evening walk when I noticed  these cheekies over the fence watching us. I don't recall seeing cows with such speckles as the calf on the left, almost looks cuddly.

It's taking a while for me to get used to these darker nights. For years we've just settled in for the night, but with Arlo arriving in January and his proper walks began in the spring, the nights got brighter and the weather warmer. It was a joy to be out and I think the weather spoilt us this year. It is the usual fun when we do get out, but the initial pre-walk psych up is an effort. I am sure I'll get used to it.
