The road to nowhere......

This was the scene that I encountered time after time when trying to get to work this morning.. every road out of Melbourne (in the direction I needed to go) was blocked with snow drifts..
On this stretch the left hand lane was completely blocked by the drift.. I had just turned back as the road was blocked, icy and not good to drive upon...
The tractors were out trying to clear the drifts but they were reforming as quickly as he cleared them.. abandoned cars did not make travelliing any easier so at this point I decided to be sensible and turn back..
Will try again tomorrow..
On the positive side.. it looks very beautiful
