A view from Coleton Fishacre

Cloeton Fishacre is a stunningly beautiful house built around 1926 for the  D'Oyly Carte family.  They clearly had good taste in spades with a budget to match and had the architect designed house built over one year from stone quarried from what is now the garden. 

My blip is a view from one end of the garden area,  looking back toward Slapton which is behind (ish) the tree on the right hand edge.

We cycled there,  34km and 874 metres of ascent.  The E Bikes did well,  mine was down to ~35% battery and Gill's ~25% by the time we were back at the motorhome.  The ferry across the Dart Estuary was £6.00 return for the two of us,  and no charge for the bikes.  No wonder it was not short of customers!    Lots of narrow roads, so we were glad we cycled rather than drove.  Close to the house someone in a Range Rover was causing a few problems when they arrived in a narrow section and appeared to be unable (rather than unwilling) to back up.  Eventually they managed to turn around, but we really couldn't see what the problem was.  Fortunately, everyone else remained relatively calm.
