I've been waiting so long for the Cosmos to flower.  The first two flowers opened a couple of days ago.  Its very tall, taller than me and if I'd been proactive I would have tied it to a stake.  This morning the wind had blown it completely down to the ground, sigh.  The stem at the bottom has been torn a bit so now that I have staked it, am hoping the other buds will open, fingers crossed!  I'm glad I took this shot after I'd put the stake in as the wind has since damaged it.
