Where is Mr Sunshine?
Well after saying yesterday how much we were loving the Cornish weather; today has been positively autumnal. There's been no basking on the sun terrace today.
In fact we haven't done very much today at all. After my morning walk (which was pretty boring because I was on my lead for all of it), I had to stay 'home alone' while Ann went to her smartphone photography course. When she came home she had her friend, Charlotte, with her. I ignored Ann and gave Charlotte ever such a nice welcome. ….........Honestly Ann feels so unloved when I ignore her!! Ann made Quesadillas for lunch. They had cheese, mushrooms, bacon lardons and spinach in them so I kept pestering Charlotte because I thought she might give me a little tit bit. She didn't. Boohoo!
After Charlotte left, (Ann was just about to take me for my afternoon walk) the 'guttering guy' texted to ask if it was convenient for him to pop round within the hour. We have an ongoing guttering problem which really isn't very interesting so we won't bore you with the details. Instead of a walk I got taken into the field to play with my ball and as expected I flopped down after less than 10 mins.
Ann still hasn't got used to the fact that I get tired so quickly. MollyCollie never seemed to get tired. And Ann knows she shouldn't compare us. I'm a much smaller dog and our personalities are like chalk & cheese but I'm still a collie and collie's are supposed to be super fit. Even the 'guttering guy' commented on how sleepy I was today. I didn't even bother greeting him when he arrived. I just lay in 'good dog' mode watching him.
Hopefully, when we go back to Edinburgh, I can have my 6 monthly check up in November (I wasn't allowed a 6 monthly check up last year, even though I'm on a pet plan that covers all my flea/tick/worming treatment and includes two check-ups a year) and Ann will be allowed to go into the vets with me. My February check up was delayed until May and then Ann had to hand me in and wait outside in the rain so obviously by the time she got me back she was absolutely soaked and just wanted to get us both home, so she even forgot to ask the vet how much I weighed now that I'm fully grown.
TBH Ann hasn't got a clue what the rules are in Scotland now. And she doesn't really care. She just knows that life is so much more 'normal' down here. Enough ranting. Lol!
After the 'guttering guy' left, Ann was going to take me for a walk but I was lying flaked out, so I just got taken into the field for another little play. And now I'm lying flaked out again.
…...............And that's been our day. It's 6.30pm, it's raining, we have all the lights on, Ann is wearing a long sleeved top and trousers and she's wondering if she should put the heating on. As we say today has been positively autumnal.
…................Maybe Mr Sunshine will come back tomorrow?!
