The Guildhall Lavenham

Today was the last of our short break in Lavenham and very warm and sunny it was too.  After checking out of the hotel we had a walk around the village and visited the Guildhall, which we have never done on any of our previous visits.  Follow my link if you'd like to learn more.  it is another National Trust run property so for the second time in three days we have been able to make use of our membership, gifted to Mr MC  and myself from his former business partner, to mark Mr MC's retirement.

We have never visited The Swan when it has been dressed for Christmas so before leaving we booked ourselves a special one night Festive Retreat stay for early December.  When we were booking, the receptionist recalled that last year they had prepared the hotel for Christmas, only to have to close  during yet another lockdown.  Let us hope there's no repeat this year!
