Autumn equinox...
...and it's blowing a gale!
A productive day, lots of little things achieved but very few of them on today's 'to do' list. Accommodation booked for the beginning of next month, parcel posted, email replies sent, some admin dealt with, supermarket shopping put away...
I even made contact with the plumber, an achievement in itself!
The flowers arrived with the shopping, and for now they're on the hearth in front of the wood burner. There's a definite nip in the air this evening and Mr MrM's threatening to light a if it gets much colder, in which case they'll have to move! Never quite sure about chrysanthemums - somehow they look a bit funereal.
PS. Just looked back a Blip year, and the words I wrote then still apply. But the nightmare's getting worse -
"Winter is Coming, and this year I'm looking forward to it not one jot, with Covid on the increase again, this shambolic, incompetent government in power, and the coming of Brexit proper. It's all beginning to feel as though we're trapped in a particularly horrible, surreal nightmare..."
