Work, play n dreamin

I’m struggling to keep my eyes open but I wanted to blip this today (even though I still have back blips to sort). I didn’t want to forget!
I came home at lunch (1:30ish) to work the afternoon at home. I moderately puppy proofed the study, brought her bed up and then introduced Scout. She did pretty well, sleeping, chewing on her antler and occasionally exploring what she could till I batted her away. But I was impressed that she climbed on the stack of boxes to look out the window. She was intrigued by being up high when she heard voices below and became fixated when a fly got trapped behind the blinds!

Our swim this evening was lovely. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get in as I was feeling a little cold anyway and there was quite a cool wind. I decided to go for it as then I’d have done all of September without a wetsuit.
I was first in! It was lovely. It was pretty dark by the time we got in and the water was inky velvety black with a star studded sky. It was just lovely. I think perhaps I can still get in because the river is so low and slow.
We couldn’t see the moon till we were back at our cars. It was beautiful.
So, that’s it. According to the equinox (which was tonight) it is now officially autumn.

And when I was walking back to the house I could smell it on the air.

Scout will need to learn what to do when the door is closed!

Oh!, and I think she is now sleeping through the night. :) Nov
