Fibre to the door?!

This was one of the guys blocking the driveway when I arrived home with Little Dog.  I wondered if they were assessing for a dropped kerb but he said not, it was for fibre cabling.  Ooooo, to the door, exciting!  

He set my expectations that this wasn't connecting up, just surveying. He wondered if it was more exciting than a dropped kerb but I concluded no, probably not.  That is, until I saw him back outside a few hours later hauling great lengths of cable out of the end of the drive.

Still not connecting up, that's someone else's job, of course, but imminent, imminent.
