Pebbles

I've been planning ahead and wondering how to cut down some of the jobs that seem to take forever in the garden, and I'm afraid we've put down pebbles/gravel on the bed where the currants and gooseberries grow.  Easier to maintain, ok to look at when I add my rock and shell collections to it, but unfortunately probably not so good for wildlife.  Perhaps I should add another bird feeder there.
