Bolton Abbey Round

Beautiful afternoon here, we drove out to Wharfedale and walked along the river from Barden Bridge to Bolton Abbey.
Love this riverside walk through the woods, lots of beautiful birds, although the swallows have gone, we saw several mandarin families, a sparrowhawk, and vistas through the trees looking down toThe Strid and the twists and turns of the water - I took plenty of photos but I seem to be liking these ancient religious ruins right now so I’m choosing the Abbey as my blip today.
