Beginnings and endings...

The first day of the last match of the domestic cricket season between Surrey and Glamorgan at the Oval. Another tough day to be a Surrey fan.

The main shot is of Reece Topley delivering the first ball of the day to Hamish Rutherford. The third extra is of Amar Virdi sending down the last ball of the day to Chris Cooke. In between these two events Glamorgan piled on an impressive 379 runs whilst Surrey only claimed a paltry four wickets.

The first extra shot shows young Ollie Pope who was playing his first match as Surrey captain in the continued absence of Rory Burns. The second extra is of Surrey legend Rikki Clarke taking the field after the tea break in what is his final match before retiring at the end of a wonderful 21 year career.
