Downy woodpecker...

... and a mug of hot chocolate. Cold, tired, and too late to take a walk in the park, I am resorting to a different kind of bird blip. This downy is on my favorite mug, the one I reach for when I feel the need for a cup of cocoa, the old-fashioned homemade hot chocolate made with milk, sugar, and Hershey's cocoa.

Thanks to everyone who looked at, commented on, and gave stars to yesterday's blip of the downy woodpecker. I'm glad so many of you liked it. Today's downy isn't nearly as interesting, but it does say something about the kind of day I had, and that's one good thing about forcing yourself to post a photo a day.
