Kowhai...

……………….....……Flowers

 
The kowhai is an endemic tree to New Zealand that produces beautiful yellow flowers in the spring.
Kowhai is a Maori word that describes the yellow colour of these blooms.


This tree grows in a corner of my garden and at present becoming a haze of yellow as the flowers appear before the leaves.
