Blue(berry) Monday

Nothing really blue about today. The sky was! The sun shone. It was very warm. It was even a public holiday in Edinburgh. We went for a long walk.

What was less impressive was the news today that fruit and veg are rotting in the U.K. fields. Why? Because either there are no longer sufficient pickers to carry out the harvest or worse: where the harvest has been gathered there were no truck drivers available to transport it to market.

I hope things improve soon. If not it is going to be a long autumn.
