Alderley Edge Woods

So we have moved on into Cheshire now, leaving the hills of the Peak District for the more level plains of the Manchester area.
David took a little detour to show me one of his favorite childhood haunts - Alderley Edge Woods. He had a little sit down on this unusual tree that seems to have grown horizontally before growing vertically.
We also went to the actual Alderley Edge which has a very steep drop off. Maybe David will show that view with the nearby city of Manchester in the distance.
Having set up camp and had a tasty supper of baguettes with cold beef and horseradish sauce with some Lamb’s lettuce, plus some cheese and pickles (pickled walnuts and pickled onions). Getting ready to go for a little walk to a nearby pub before settling in for the night, if David gets his BG accounts done before dark, that is!
