Pier to Here

This was a swim we have talked about all year, walking to the pier and swimming home. We even gave it a snappy name. Emma, Pete and I did it today. To be fair, Pete has been doing it for a while. It was smashing, a lively little adventure. Felt very odd getting in the sea by the pier, past the wheel in no time, and a goodly swim back to the Burlington that marks our beach. The sun was out, the sea was flat. It’s about a kilometre, it was Smashing!

And before that I did a couple of interviews for the job I will start next Friday. Slight problem remembering the words to say but muscle memory clicked in. As an ex-colleague said “talking will always be a strength”!!
