I was very surprised to see the cyclists on the main street because according to the advance notice signs signs I've seen this past week they were heading back to Grasmere along the Under Loughrigg road. The route had earlier taken the riders over 7 Lakeland passes including Kirkstone, Honister and Hardknott..
