Spot the ball
To Loftus Road today, the home of Queen's Park Rangers, for their home game against Bristol City. A friend of mine, whom I have known since we met in our first year at Dartford Grammar School 60 years ago, is a season ticket holder. It's a good opportunity for an occasional get-together. It was a good game, open end-to-end football, which Bristol City won 2-1 with a goal in the last minute. A little unfair on QPR who deserved a draw. On the way back I got off at Charing Cross and walked across the river, stopping to take the view up to St Paul's Cathedral sadly now flanked by high rise office buildings.
