Walkley Road

94 Walkley Road, Sheffield. My grandfather was born in this house in March 1902. Today was the first time I've seen it.

My grandfather moved a lot during his childhood, but always within the same few streets. I'm staying in Sheffield this weekend and have visited all but one of the addresses I've found listed for him in the records, and his school too. Walkley is actually beautiful, packed with streets of terraced houses which often have amazing vistas at the end of them, across the Loxley and Rivelin valleys. If I didn't have a job and a mother in York, I could easily move here.
