Lindisfarne north shore

Just before we left we drove up to a car park just before the causeway and walked over the sand dunes to the north shore of the island. There is an absolutely vast sweeping sandy beach, with new sand dunes appearing all the time (we were told they were spreading, although of course it will only take one massive storm for them to be back to square one again). We had the beach to ourselves, although as with the rest of the weekend, the wind was really something else here, and as it was so exposed we got the full force of it! This was actually by the car park, I just liked the picture.

Safe home now, and I've back-blipped the last couple of days so do take a look! I'd definitely love to go back to Lindisfarne again (although if there could be a bit less wind and a bit more warmth I would appreciate that!).
