Brown Hooded Kingfisher

My little kingfisher friend visited the garden today, and was enjoying the crickets he dug up in the lawn. I love kingfishers.
And today we had our water tanks installed - we weren't expecting them but were pleased when they arrived. Now all we need is rain!
The one tank is connected to the house so I can use the water for my washing machine and dishwasher, and for showering. So, together with our borehole we have a plan for the drought,  and solar heating for our geyser, saves on some electricity.
Tomorrow we are off to Plettenberg Bay for a few days. I am looking forward to the break - I'm not taking my golf clubs so hopefully I'll have more time for photography.
