Finding My Bearings

By JustJuli

Blue is the new… burgundy?

My son's new passport arrived this morning. As he's now sixteen, it's the first one that lasts for ten years. I'd forgotten they were changing colour... and hopefully we'll be able to use it soon!

In other news... it's been three weeks since I signed up with the teaching agency and my 'file has now been processed' and 'has been sent for auditing' to see 'if any rectifications are needed'. Sheesh, in the olden days, with practically no experience or qualifications, I'd just walk into an employment agency and start a job the next day. I think the delays are all really just agency-speak for 'we've not actually got any jobs available yet'. I've heard that patience is a virtue... but it doesn't pay very well!

I'm very behind on here but will try and catch up with you all later!

UPDATE: Just got an email from the employment agency ‘auditor’ with another form to fill in…

FURTHER UPDATE: Auditor isn’t accepting the references from my last employer because I was only there two years and they need them from people who’ve known me for over three years. I give up.
