Rocks Rd Textures
Appointment in morning then a stop along the waterfront on the way home to take in the sea air. Found myself photographing rocks and concrete.....as you do. Getting all philosophical........a rock begins its life as something quite different to what we see lying on the beach. It begins its life as part of a larger being, ripped from the earth, possibly thrust into the air, and shattered into smaller pieces, beaten against other smaller pieces. It only becomes the smooth, round being that we see on the beach because of the constant work of the much softer and often gentler water action. Collisions with other rocks cause a few bumps and scratches during its evolution to give it its unique shape but it's the softer, gentler water that has the biggest impact on what we see it as. Kind of like life really.
And with that, I'm tucking this image away to use elsewhere......
