Out in the Bonsai.... Water Jasmine
I got out with the bonsai this afternoon. There are many long runners on everything! I trimmed the water jasmine. The plant on the left has had a hair cut and thing-out on the inside. That way more sunlight can get into the interior of these little guy's. It also is the parent plant of the tree on the right. (The top was air layered off of the bottom half)
I would draw attention to the color of the leaves. There has been so much rain here that the soils have been leached of nutrients. I had fertilized all of my trees before I took them to the nursery. David also told me he had fertilized them as well. But regardless of our efforts, the rain won and the ground soil got all of the good stuff.
I have pulled out my 20;20 fertilizer and applied it twice since I got home. If I don't see improvement soon, I will add magnesium in hopes of boosting the health of the leaves.
Gcc miles today: 18.1
Gcc total to date: 262
I got out for a ride today on my bike. I have a lot of miles to make up, as I didn't ride yesterday after the visit to the dentist. the surgical sites continued to bleed all evening. ( Not a good time to go exercise).
But today was awesome! Soft sunlight, a bit humidity and a beautiful breeze generated by the bike. Today was the 3rd ride on the last charge. I took the battery to the bike shop only to find out they had sold the and the bike, the charger went with it. The new owners will pick up their bike and charger tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, the shop owners will charge my battery so I can ride another 60 miles. After that I have to wait while Bosch ships me a new charger.
I don't know how long that will take. I will ride and clock miles as long as I can, and hope the charger gets here. (hopefully in the middle of next week).
